Annual registration of corporation
- Statute:
- Georgia §14-3-1622 · Article NP (Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code (O.C.G.A. Title 14 Ch. 3))
- Topic:
- Governance · Annual registration
- Applies to:
- Nonprofit associations
Every domestic nonprofit must file an annual registration with the Secretary of State (name, registered office and agent, principal-office mailing address, and the CEO, CFO, and secretary). This Corporations Division filing is not the HOA registration SB 406 creates. The SOS FAQ is explicit: the corporations filing creates the entity; HOA registration (starting 1 January 2027) is what lets a registered association collect fines, record liens, and foreclose. Do both when 2027 arrives — do not treat the 2027 portal as live today.
