Integrations

What SoShiny connects to

SoShiny connects to the services an association already depends on: Stripe to collect dues, QuickBooks to carry your existing books across, and Postmark, Twilio and Lob to reach members by email, text and physical mail. Every one of them is included on every plan, with nothing to buy separately and no integration tier.

Money and accounting

Where the association's money moves and where the books live.

Stripe

Collect dues by ACH or card, straight into the association's own bank account.

Each association connects its own Stripe account, so money moves from the owner to the association without passing through us. Owners can pay a single charge or enrol in autopay, ACH and card are both supported, and every payment posts to the general ledger the moment it settles. Failed autopay retries on a schedule and tells both the owner and the board.

QuickBooks

Bring your existing books over, and hand your accountant a file they can actually use.

A guided import reads a QuickBooks trial balance, month-by-month profit and loss, vendor list and unpaid bills, and lands them as opening balances and history in the ledger. It handles the things real exports do: sub-accounts, account-number collisions, blank header columns and parenthetical labels. Going the other way, every report exports as a CPA-ready CSV.

This is a file-based import and export today rather than a live connection to QuickBooks Online.

Reaching members

Email, text and physical mail, each through a carrier built for it.

Postmark

Email that arrives, with the board able to see who opened it and whose address is dead.

Every notice, minutes email and broadcast goes out over authenticated infrastructure with SPF, DKIM and DMARC in place, so association mail lands in inboxes instead of spam folders. Opens, bounces and complaints flow back automatically, which means the directory quietly tells you which owners you can no longer reach by email and need a letter instead.

Twilio

Text the whole community for an urgent thing, on a properly registered number.

Text alerts run on a registered A2P 10DLC campaign, which is what keeps carriers from filtering association messages. Members opt in with recorded consent, STOP is handled by the carrier and synced back, and the board sees the exact segment count and cost before sending. Quiet hours and a monthly cap are on by default.

Lob

Print and mail a real letter to the owners who have no working email address.

Compose a notice in the portal and it is printed, stuffed and mailed first class, with USPS tracking on every piece. The audience that matters most is the one you cannot email: the system knows which owners have no address on file or have hard-bounced, and can mail exactly those. Cost is shown before the send and drawn from a prepaid balance.

Maps, address and data

The services behind addresses, maps and the lobby display.

OpenStreetMap

Maps on the community website and directory pages.

Census and Photon geocoding

Address autocomplete and validation, so unit records stay clean.

NWS, Open-Meteo and NOAA

Forecast, tides and emergency weather alerts on the lobby TV.

YouTube

Embedded video in announcements, help topics and the community website.

Google Analytics

Optional traffic reporting on your public community website.

The SoShiny API

A REST API over your association's own data, included on every plan.

A board admin creates a token, ticks exactly what it may do, and revokes it whenever they like. Members, units, work orders, announcements, events and document metadata are all reachable, and every token is locked to a single association. There is no developer tier and no charge per call.

Why the list is short

Software in this category often counts integrations the way a résumé counts skills. Most of what an association needs, SoShiny does itself: the general ledger, the document library, the member directory, the community website, online voting. There is no integration to accounting software because the accounting is the product, and no integration to a website builder because the website comes with it.

The services on this page are the ones that genuinely have to be somebody else: moving money, handing mail to the postal service, and getting a text past a carrier. Each is a specialist, each is included, and none of them is an upgrade.
