Mississippi Condo, Co-op & HOA Law — A Plain-English Reference for Board Members

Code §§ 89-9-1 to 89-9-37): a short 1964 chapter that creates the form, lets a recorded declaration of restrictions do the real governing, and turns an unpaid assessment into a one-year recorded lien. Subdivision HOAs are not in that chapter. They run on their recorded declaration plus the Mississippi Nonprofit Corporation Act (Title 79 Chapter 11) for meetings, directors, notice, quorum, and records. There is no statewide HOA roster.
