An owner's liability for common expenses is limited to the amounts assessed from time to time under this chapter and the declaration. Owners have no personal liability for damages caused by the governing body on or in connection with the use of the common areas. An owner is liable for an accident inside the unit the same way the owner of a house, office, or store would be.
