The association shall provide for votes in person, by absentee ballot, or by proxy, and may allow another form of delivery. A proxy must be dated and executed, is revocable by notice to the presiding person, and is valid only for the meeting at which it is cast. Do not pay anyone to collect proxy votes. Proxy and absentee ballots count toward quorum. Ballots, if used, are counted by a neutral third party or by volunteers selected at an open meeting who are not board members or candidates. Does not apply to associations created before July 1, 2013 with fewer than 30 lots (§47-16-15(B)).
