Effective 1 January 2027, the Secretary of State may deny, suspend, or revoke a registration; limit the fines or fees an association may collect; or bar an officer, director, trustee, executive, or board member, if that is in the public interest and one of the listed grounds is met (false registration, willful violation, unpaid filing fee after 30 days' notice, or ignored subpoena). An order must state its grounds and be mailed to the association's registered address.
